SASSA Status Check : The Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant is designed for South African citizens. The grant aims to reduce poverty and provide financial help to their citizens. SASSA SRD Payment Schedule 2024 :

SASSA SRD R350 Grant Application Status Check:

The “Moya App” is free for all users to check their application status. Users can also apply for an SRD R350 grant from the app.

  1. Visit the Apple Store or Google Play Store and look for the ‘Moya App.’ Download it to your smartphone. You can also find it on Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and Huawei AppGallery. 
  2. After installing, open the ‘Moya App’ and select SRD SASSA Status Check.
  3. A new window will pop up with two fields—one for your South African ID number and the phone number you used when applying for the grant.
  4. Check again to verify the information you entered.
  5. Select the month you’d like to see the status of your SASSA R350 grant. 
  6. Click the ‘Submit’ button, and the group will appear as ‘Approved,’ ‘Declined,’ ‘Pending,’ or any other relevant updates.

2) SASSA R350 Grant Application Status on the Website : 

  1. Visit the SASSA SRD R350 website (https://srd-sassa-status-check.com/). Input your registered phone number and ID (Identity Document) number in the form.
  2. Press the ‘Submit’ button and wait for the page to get a response against the ID.
  3. The result will show if your application is “Approved,” “Declined,” “Pending,” “Rejected,” or “Canceled” by a SASSA official.

If SASSA approves your application, they will mention a pay date. This is when you’ll get the grant money.

3) SASSA R350 Grant Application Status on the WhatsApp:

The SASSA WhatsApp Number tells you the status of your R350 application. You can chat online with the official team to review the SASSA status. The SASSA team can also help with problems, check if you qualify for the grant, explain procedures, handle verifications, and answer related questions.

  1. Add the SASSA WhatsApp number 082 046 8553 to confirm your status with the official SASSA Team.
  2. Send the message “SASSA” to their official number. 
  3.  The system will generate a reply as “Status Review”.
  4. Choose SASSA R350 Grant and replay as “Status Check” with the application ID.

4) SASSA R350 Grant App Status on the Phone(Helpline Assistance):

Checking your SASSA status through the helpline is easier. Direct calls are faster and more convenient for non-technical users than the Moya app. With this method, you don’t need to download or install the application. Although this method is easy, users may need to wait for their turn due to high call volume.

  1. Open your phone’s dialer and dial the toll-free number “080060 10 11“.
  2. Tap the call button and wait a moment. Once connected, share your Application ID and phone number with the representative. They’ll assist you with any questions or concerns related to your application.
  3. Once your ID and phone number are confirmed, the SASSA team will furnish details regarding your R350 grant application status.

SASSA R350 grant is distributed to individuals through various channels. Most of them were received via the Bank and some via the Post office. During SASSA status check, found an error that indicates you didn’t opt to collect your grant.

That message means you should have selected the option to receive the grant payment through the post office.

SASSA SRD Application Status: Understanding of Results

If the SRD status check displays ‘Bank Detail Pending,’ it means SASSA has approved the SRD application. However , make sure to update and verify the bank details you selected during registration. To proceed, choose the payment method option: cash, post office, or bank transfer.
